I’m excited to share that I’ve joined the Investment team at Pantera, where I’ll have the privilege of working alongside some of the brightest Web3.0 founders.

 

My journey into Web3.0 began with a healthy mix of skepticism and cautious optimism. As a South East Asia-based investor in a market with fewer liquidity events, I recognized the transformative potential of blockchain for non-US founders who can’t access the same capital abundance. With that belief, I stepped into the Web3 space as a venture investor based in Singapore.

 

I began this journey in late 2020, during the tail end of DeFi Summer and the rise of the NFT craze. My early excitement centered around crypto gaming, having led investments in Illuvium and Big Time’s seed rounds at my previous fund. I continued to build theses and conviction in other consumer-facing areas like gaming, NFTs, marketplaces, creator tools, and payments, in addition to the more traditional investment themes of DeFi and infrastructure.

 

What I admire most about Pantera is its strategic, long-term approach to markets and its ability to spot trends before they go mainstream. They have consistently stood out as a leader in blockchain investing, and their impressive portfolio speaks for itself. Joining a team that’s at the forefront of innovation and working with some of the most exciting companies and founders of our time is an opportunity I couldn’t pass up.

 

At Pantera, I’ll continue focusing on emerging trends, especially those related to consumer-facing applications. I’m excited to meet teams building novel consumer dApps across social, gaming, DeFi, and even real-world assets (RWAs).
